Baselworld 2017: Salthora Meta X - MasterSinger builds his jumping hour into a watch for every terrain

The Salthora Meta X is a typical master singer - at a second glance: A single pointer circles over the dial with the concise, factual typography. In all Salthora models he shows the minutes, while the hour is in a circular window at 12 o'clock - and flashes quickly and precisely after 60 minutes.

Waterproof up to 200 meters

At first sight, however, the Salthora Meta X looks quite different: with a strong crown protection at the edge of the case, with Superluminova pads and, above all, the distinctive rotating bezel made of zirconium ceramics. Not only does it look energetic, it also makes everything, in the city, in the country - and always in the water: its screw-down crown and the bolted steel base ensure a water-tightness of up to 20 bar. And the highly luminescent coating on pointers, digits and indices also makes the time readable in depth. If the Meta X had a seconds display and line indices on its precisely resting turn-down bezel, it could quite officially call a diving watch - but it does not want to be so purposeful. It is a striking timepiece for people who remain mobile in every respect. They do not want to worry about their watch at a land part in the rain like at the sport or at the beach. With the turn-of-the-minute meter, you can measure how long they are already in the sun, the half-time is running or they are standing in line again in front of the opera bank. Those who have their own style, look forward to precise mechanics - and can not be scared away by seconds.

Optimized technology

The energetic shape of the Salthora Meta X fits perfectly with its powerful technology: it is driven by a Swiss automatic movement. The elaborate mechanics, which flashes every 60 minutes in a flash-like manner and exactly the new number of hours, was specially developed for MeisterSinger. The voltage for the switching arm of the hour disc builds up a screw attached to the minute wheel in the course of an hour; The spring house is therefore not taken abruptly, but continuously, and the behavior is only minimally influenced. The powerful stainless steel case of the Salthora Meta X has a diameter of 43 millimeters. Over the dial, a sapphire glass arched, the steel floor is screwed six times.

The Salthora Meta X is available in three versions:

A model with black dial carries a red hour hand and red hour numbers on a white background.

Another has green digits to the green pointer.
